Mini Rottweiler

Most of y'all have met Callie, our 50 pound Rottweiler. She pretty much runs the show around our house. This photo was taken halfway up Logan Peak, during a backcountry skiing tour.

Laughing Baby

Megan is always asking me to help her find new ways to waste time. Yesterday, she seemed especially irked that I hadn't told her about "The Laughing Baby." Here it is, for those of you who haven't seen it.

We're Up and Running

Although Utah is probably the least progressive western state, I've managed to feel at home here. On one hand, we're the only state (other than Idaho) where George Bush still has a positive rating (you have to admire these folks for sticking to their guns.) On the other hand, the skiing and outdoor activities are great. I live in the northern part of the state, about 12 miles from the Idaho border (see above photo).

In the coming days I'll make a post or two, and you're welcome to comment. I've got low standards--anything goes.
